Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and YARD (formerly TurfNow, "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the YARD mobile application (the "App"), our website, and associated sports matchmaking, venue booking, and coaching services.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or access the App.

YARD is a sports technology platform that connects sports enthusiasts, sports arena operators, certified coaches, and community squads. The platform supports distinct roles, each governed by specific rights and obligations:

A. General User / Player

• Rights & Features: Browse sports arenas, check real-time slot availability, reserve turf slots, join or organize open games and pickup tournaments, join or create community squads, interact in squad chat channels, and book personal coaching sessions.
• Obligations: Provide accurate identity information during bookings, arrive punctually at booked venues, adhere to turf rules, pay agreed slot fees, and interact respectfully in squad chats and matches.

B. Turf Owner / Venue Operator

• Rights & Features: Create and manage arena listings, configure operational schedules, set daytime and night-time pricing, accept or decline booking requests, manage custom duration reservations, log slot delays, upload venue gallery images, and view booking analytics.
• Obligations: Maintain honest and accurate venue descriptions, keep slot schedules updated in real time, honor confirmed bookings, ensure sports facilities are safe and playable, and promptly communicate any schedule changes or delays.

C. Sports Trainer / Coach

• Rights & Features: Create a verified professional coaching profile, showcase athletic credentials and certifications, establish hourly and package rates, define available training slots, and manage incoming trainee appointments.
• Obligations: Provide genuine credentials and qualifications, conduct training sessions professionally with due regard to player safety, honor scheduled training appointments, and maintain respectful communication with students and parents.

D. Community Admin / Squad Creator

• Rights & Features: Create public or private sports squads, generate deep-link invite tokens for sharing, review and approve/reject prospective squad members, schedule squad matches, and moderate squad discussion channels.
• Obligations: Foster an inclusive, sportsmanship-driven environment, refrain from abusive moderation, and promptly address any member misconduct within their squad.

E. Super Admin / Platform Administrator

• Rights & Features: Review, approve, or reject new sports arena listings and coach registrations, manage featured homepage curation and promotional banners, issue system alerts, and suspend accounts that violate safety guidelines.

1. Authentication: Account registration and login are supported via Google Sign-In (Firebase Authentication) or verified email/password and mobile number.
2. Account Responsibility: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. You agree to notify YARD immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
3. Accuracy of Information: You agree to supply truthful, complete, and updated information. Impersonation of any person, sports organization, or entity is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate termination.

1. Intermediary Role: YARD functions as a technology facilitator connecting players with venue owners and independent coaches.
2. Pricing & Settlement: Turf rates (including day and night hourly pricing) and coaching fees are established directly by respective owners and trainers. Settlement of slot fees, deposits, or balances is completed directly between the player and venue/coach (via UPI, cash, card, or direct transfer) as indicated on the booking confirmation.
3. Slot Availability & Dynamic Scheduling: Slot availabilities are updated dynamically. While YARD incorporates collision-prevention technology, confirmed slots remain subject to venue operational readiness. In the rare event of an unexpected double-booking or operational closure, the venue owner is solely responsible for providing an alternative slot or refunding any advance collected.
4. Cascading Slot Delays: When a preceding match runs overtime, venue owners may publish an official slot delay notification. Players will receive real-time alerts regarding adjusted start times.

1. User Freedom in Chat: Players participating in squad chat channels have the feature to edit or delete their sent messages at any time.
2. Prohibited Content: Users are strictly prohibited from posting, transmitting, or sharing:
   • Abusive, defamatory, harassing, obscene, hateful, or threatening language.
   • Unauthorized commercial spam, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited advertisements.
   • Fraudulent match fixtures, betting/gambling promotions, or deceptive activities.
   • Personally identifiable information of other individuals without explicit permission.
3. Right to Moderate: Squad Admins and YARD Super Admins reserve the right to remove non-compliant content, revoke invite links, or ban abusive users from squads or the platform entirely.

In accordance with our strict data policy:

1. No Data Selling: YARD will never sell, rent, lease, or monetize user data to third-party marketing firms, advertisers, or data brokers.
2. No Personal Commercial Exploitation: YARD will not exploit user data for personal commercial interests outside the direct scope of facilitating your sports and booking activities.
3. Restricted Use: Personal details are accessible only to the parties necessary to fulfill a booking or community request (e.g., your name and phone number are visible to the venue owner when you request a slot, so they can welcome you at the arena).

1. Sports Participation Risk: Physical sports (such as Football, Cricket, Badminton, Tennis, and Pickleball) involve inherent risks of physical injury, muscle strain, sprains, fractures, or accidents. By participating in games, tournament matches, or training sessions booked through YARD, you voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with such sports.
2. Independent Venues & Coaches: Turfs, courts, and coaches listed on YARD operate independently. YARD does not own, manage, or operate physical sports venues and is not an employer of independent coaches.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties: The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. YARD does not warrant that app functions will be completely uninterrupted or error-free.
4. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YARD, its founders, affiliates, and developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from bodily injury, property damage, loss of personal belongings at a venue, or disputes between users, venue owners, or coaches.

1. YARD Trademarks & Software: The YARD name, logo, software code, UI designs, icons, algorithms, and documentation are the exclusive intellectual property of YARD Sports Network.
2. User Content License: By uploading turf photos, profile pictures, or squad badges to YARD, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display such content within the App solely for operating and promoting your listings within the community.

1. Termination by User: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support for permanent data deletion.
2. Suspension by YARD: We reserve the right to suspend, deactivate, or terminate your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if:
   • You violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
   • A venue owner repeatedly cancels confirmed bookings or provides fraudulent facility listings.
   • A user engages in harmful, fraudulent, or harassing conduct.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Maharashtra, India.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at our sole discretion. Any changes will become effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms with an updated "Effective Date". Your continued use of the App following any revision constitutes your binding acceptance of the revised Terms.
